Controversial cleric and ZANU PF activist, Passion Java, says he misses the late businessman and socialite Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure.
Java took to his Facebook page and expressed his feelings. He posted a short statement, “I miss Ginimbi“.
Ginimbi and Java were not always on good terms and would occasionally exchange verbal barbs on social media platforms, with their followers also divided on who was the most flashy “mbinga“.
Ginimbi died in the wee hours of Sunday, 08 November 2020 along Borrowdale Road in Harare when his speeding Rolls Royce collided with a Honda Fit, veered off the road and hit a tree before catching fire.
Ginimbi was in the company of model and fitness trainer Michelle “Moana” Amuli, a Mozambican and a Malawian national.
He was pulled out of the car alive but died moments later. The other occupants of the car were trapped inside and were burned to death.

'I Miss Ginimbi', Says Passion Java

The late socialite and businessman Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure’s family plans to build a mausoleum before they conduct a memorial service for him.
Ginimbi’s sister, Juliet Kadungure told H-Metro’s Takawira “Photovet” Dapi that Ginimbi’s memorial service will be done after they hold their mother’s memorial service. She said:
<blockquote>I think you are also aware that we also lost our younger brother called Andrew on 01 January 2019, before Ginimbi died.
Andrew passed on when our mother was on deathbed, we then failed to do Andrew’s memorial because our mother took the whole year whilst on deathbed due to cancer.
Our mother then died on 28 January 2020 last year. So my mother was a churchwoman, a church person, meaning her memorial was to gather more people.
Unfortunately, Ginimbi passed on the 8th of November, the same year (2020).</blockquote>
Juliet said it wasn’t proper for them to hold Ginimbi’s memorial first because he was the one who passed on last amongst the three. She said:
<blockquote>So in normal circumstances, we should have started with Andrew’s memorial, followed by mom’s and then that of Ginimbi last.
But because our mother is the eldest of all, we are going to start with our mother’s memorial.
I am thinking of holding it on the 6th of June next month because that will be our mother’s birthday.
… From there, I will then calculate how much money and time it can take to construct a mausoleum.
Afterwards, the memorial for Ginimbi will surely be held after his mausoleum has constructed.</blockquote>
On reports claiming that Ginimbi’s casket was later found outside his mansion, Juliet said nothing of the sort ever happened. She said:
<blockquote>How can a casket be found outside the grave? If it was true, journalists must have been there to prove to the world that surely that casket is coming out daily, mobva mari miriraka richibudaka pa-mansion pacho.
Nothing of that nature ever happened; I think you still remember also a picture of a Lamborghini car on fire during Ginimbi’s funeral, but Ginimbi’s Lamborghini is still intact and parked inside his garages at his mansion today.
Ginimbi’s mansion is still free to visit, it is still the same, you will not notice that Ginimbi is late, his property is still intact.</blockquote>

Genius 'Ginimbi' Kadungure Memorial After Mausoleum

The late Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure’s former business partner Zodwa Mkandla is demanding that his Bentley Continental GT hidden in South Africa be surrendered.
The car is believed to be under the custody of Ginimbi’s long-time friend, Nomatter Zinyengere in South Africa.
Zodwa wants it registered with the Master of High Court as required in terms of the Administration of Estates Act and surrendered to the Executor of Ginimbi’s estate.
The car was reportedly bought by Zodwa from the UK in 2013, while Ginimbi paid for duty in Zimbabwe.
In a letter to Zinyengere’s lawyers, Shomwe-Nyakuedza Attorneys, Zodwa’s legal team, Venturas and Samkange last week, wrote:
<blockquote>Our client instructs us that sometime in October 2013, she bought a Bentley Continental GT from the United Kingdom under the name Traverze Travel.
Same was delivered through the Plumtree border post and the late (Ginimbi) was authorised to collect it.
The motor vehicle at the time of the deceased’s passing on was in South Africa under his custody.
This vehicle would be used by the late (Ginimbi) and our client (Zodwa) whenever in South Africa on business or leisure trips.
We are further instructed that the motor vehicle is currently in the custody of Nomatter Zinyengere, who is your client.
The car has not been registered with the Master of High Court as required in terms of the Administration of Estates Act.
Our instructions are, to demand as we hereby do, that the motor vehicle be surren[1]dered to the Executor dative so that it forms part of the deceased estate since he (Ginimbi) had been authorised to put the car in his name.</blockquote>
Zodwa told H-Metro that all she wants is for Ginimbi’s properties to be fully accounted for amid claims that the Bentley is now being kept away from the public.

Zimbabwean freelance journalist, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Hopewell_Chin%27ono">Hopewell Chin’ono</a> has said the death of socialite and businessman, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Genius_Kadungure">Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure</a> could have been avoided. 
He attributes the death to poor roads and collapsed health sector which he said were both a result of grand corruption by political elites. 
Ginimbi, together with his three friends, died in a road accident earlier this month when his Rolls Royce Wraith was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Fit along Borrowdale Road before veering off the road, hitting a tree and bursting into flames moments later. 
Witnesses said Ginimbi was overspeeding. Commenting on the socialite’s death, Chin’ono said:

He could have lived if we had an ambulance service that worked.
The State money looted daily would have built a dual carriageway system and that accident wouldn’t have happened.

<blockquote>Our education system is terrible. I have written in this post (above) that we need institutions in our country.
And some people come back and say Ginimbi was drunk and speeding.
Of course, he could have been that and more, but if we had good institutions he would have been stopped by police before the accident.
He would have been breathalysed and arrested and locked up.
That is what good institutions mean, the fact that he was speeding and was drunk means that police don’t have cars to patrol the streets because of looting and corruption.

The Sunday Mail has reported that the late socialite and businessman, Genius Ginimbi Kadungure had a son in 2011 with a Gutu-based businesswoman, Miyedzo “Miye” Madondo.
The businesswoman is the daughter of a once-successful Masvingo businessman, the late Elias Madondo.
This comes after Ginimbi’s family has said they believe the socialite had no child since none was introduced to them. Ginimbi’s father, Mr Anderson Kadungure, recently said:
<blockquote>As far as I know, Genius did not leave behind any children. I heard through rumours that he had children everywhere, but I was never introduced to any of them.</blockquote>
Meanwhile, anonymous members from the Madondo family claimed that Ginimbi had a son with Miye whom he met in 2006 when she returned from New Zealand. The duo reportedly went separate ways following the birth of the child. Said the members:

They (Genius and Miyedzo) were madly in love. They enjoyed their romance and we all adored it. They both tattooed each other’s names on their arms. That shows the level of affection they had for each other.
</blockquote>
The Sunday Mail reports that Miye refused to open up during an interview at her farm in Masvingo last week, saying the timing – especially when Genius’ estate was being distributed — would likely result in negative connotations about the motive. She said:

I hope this visit is personal and not about Genius because that is a closed chapter,” said a teary Miyedzo, who was choking with emotions.
Maybe someday I will tell you all about it, but not now, I just can’t.
I was born in a family with everything that I needed, so we are OK. We don’t need anything, so please just leave us alone.

Miye’s aunt who lives in Madondo Village in Gutu said “It is not a secret… that Ginimbi is the father of our boy,” adding that after dumping Miyedzo for another woman, Ginimbi later tried to be involved in his son’s life.
She added that they wanted to attend the funeral but the “Genius he had become was different from the Genius” they knew adding that they feared his relatives could be hostile as some were likely to think they were after his money.
Other relatives and family friends in Gutu corroborated the story saying Ginimbi and Miyedzo were inseparable, “they were madly in love.”
One Dhunzi said they loved Ginimbi because he was kind and generous adding that they were saddened by the ‘fact’ that he milked Miyedzo dry and ran away. 
A former driver at Kadungure’s Pioneer Gases, who only wanted to be identified as Mike, claimed that Miyedzo also invested in the gas company. Mike said:

Miyedzo thought the investment was registered in both their names but she didn’t know that Ginimbi had taken everything.
At the time, she thought the relationship was growing into something, but the guy left her. She was heartbroken.
</blockquote>
Mike added that Ginimbi loved the boy and he did everything for him, from buying expensive cellphones and other gadgets. He added:

As we speak, he had bought him a drone as a birthday present and it will be delivered anytime soon.
We drove several times to Harare where he would meet his son and catch-up.
</blockquote>
In August 2014, the flamboyant businessman posted a photo of himself and the child and captioned it “my son”. The account was later closed in 2016.
Last week, Ginimbi’s relatives and other beneficiaries of his estate unanimously accepted an unsigned will recently filed at the Master of High Court, which gives “Kit Kat”, a friend to the deceased, the newly acquired Lamborghini.
All other assets were placed in a Trust, under which will be the bulk of the assets, including the Domboshava mansion, cars and companies.
The mansion will be converted into a hotel.
Ginimbi’s father, according to the will, is entitled to 10 percent of funds generated by the Trust, while Ginimbi’s sisters – Nelia and Juliet — will get 60 percent and 30 percent respectively.

The family of the late fitness trainer, Michelle Moana Amuli, has said the deceased will be buried on Friday (tomorrow).
There was confusion as to when she would be buried after her paternal and maternal parents were disagreeing over how to bury their daughter.
Moana’s father Mr Ishmael Amuli wanted her to be buried in a Muslim way since he himself was a Muslim while her mother was against the idea saying the deceased had a sower relationship with her father, therefore, Mr Amuli should have nothing to do with her funeral.
The family spokesperson told NewZimbabwe that both families had settled their differences. Speaking at Parirenyatwa hospital in Harare a family member in the company of Moana’s father, the spokesperson said:

We will bury Michelle tomorrow (Friday) but we are not yet sure where her remains will be buried since as we haven’t completed the burial process.</blockquote>
Moana died in a fatal car accident along with businessman, Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure, Limumba Karim and Alichia Adams last week Sunday on their way from celebrating her 26th birthday.
Ginimbi’s Rolls Royce Wraith they were in was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Fit before veering off the road, hitting a tree and catching fire.
Witnesses who first arrived at the scene said they retrieved Ginimbi, who was still alive, from the vehicle which exploded a few minutes later burning the three passengers beyond recognition.

The father and mother of deceased fitness bunny, Michelle ‘Moana’ Amuli are reportedly fighting over the remains of their daughter.
Mr Ishamel Amuli is reportedly demanding that his daughter be buried the “Muslim way” as he was of the Muslim faith, a stance that does not auger well with Moana’s biological mother.
Moana died together with two friends when Genius Ginimbi Kadungure’s Rolls Royce Wraith was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Fit along Borrowdale last week before veering off the road, hitting a tree and catching fire.
The fitness trainer and others aboard were burnt beyond recognition prompting a DNA test on their remains to be conducted.
At Moana’s funeral wake in Highfields last Sunday, <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/11/09/moanas-father-speaks-on-fractured-relationship-with-late-socialite/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Mr Amuli opened up on his fractured relationship with his daughter whom he said was living in a manner not approved by the Muslim community</a>.
An anonymous family member told Zim Morning Post that Moana’s mother argues that Mr Amuli should have nothing to do with their daughter’s funeral since he had differences with the socialite. Said the source:

The Deoxyribonucleic (DNA) tests for victims of the road accident that killed socialite Genius Ginimbi Kadungure have been successfully completed.
The DNA results were delaying the burial of the victims including fitness bunny, Mitchelle “Moana” Amuli. Her burial had to be postponed following an inconclusive post mortem conducted last week Tuesday.
The deceased were burnt beyond recognition when Ginimbi’s Rolls Royce Wraith they were in was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Fit along Borrowdale Road before veering off the road, hitting a tree and caught fire.
The National University of Science and Technology that was conducting the tests announced that the tests were complete which means the bodies will now be ready for collection.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has advised members of the public not to go to the homestead of the late socialite and businessman Genius Ginimbi Kadungure in Domboshava, 35km outside Harare saying the place is already congested. Multitudes intend to attend Ginimbi’s burial which is underway. Ginimbi died on Sunday in a road accident after his Rolls Royce was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Fit before veering off the road, hitting a tree and catching fire. Below is the police’s statement.
<blockquote>The Zimbabwe Republic Police advises the public that Dombushava Road and some roads leading to the late GeniOs Kadungure’s homestead are now congested. The public is therefore urged to corporate with the police officers on the ground to curtail accidents, cases of theft and ensure effective maintenance of law and order at the funeral.

The late socialite Genius Ginimbi Kadungure’s “spiritual father,” Bishop Ismael Muzondo, has dismissed reports which suggest that the businessman got his wealth through magic.
Muzondo speaks as social media is awash with messages claiming that Ginimbi’s massive wealth came from black magic.
Speaking to NewZimbabwe, Muzondo echoed the remarks by both Ginimbi’s maid and business manager saying the 36-year-old was a hard worker. He said:
<blockquote>Ginimbi was a young man with courage who did not hesitate to take high risks in business investments; those high risks brought him profits and fortune.
That also created enemies among those who were jealous of his returns.
To most people who do not know him, Ginimbi was a very religious person who put his faith in God and sought blessings from the Lord hence his businesses prospered.
Unfortunately, we were supposed to have a prayer meeting on Sunday, but he passed away.
People make money in so many different ways. Some make money because they rob banks, some because they work hard, and others make money because they do not sleep, working hard.
For Ginimbi, he was one such a man who worked hard day and night and only played when it is necessary and made noise about it.</blockquote>
Muzodo said the trending prophecy about Ginimbi’s death was not from God adding that if it was from God, that message must have been delivered to Ginimbi to “allow him to position him, to prepare him and warn him. He added:
<blockquote>If that message was not delivered to him, but to someone else and it did not reach him, and then said it after his death, that message was not a message from God.</blockquote>
Ginimbi died on Sunday in a road accident after his Rolls Royce Wraith was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Fit before veering off the road, hitting a tree and catching fire.
His burial is underway (this Saturday) at his Mansion in Domboshava, about 35 kilometers outside Harare.

The Business Manager of the late Genius Ginimbi Kadungure has said the socialite was a businessman whose empire stretched to neighbouring companies including Botswana and South Africa. The manager, Shaleen Nullens said Ginimbi’s gas company in Botswana is in the top three gas companies adding that he has about 100 employees there. She said Ginimbi was also in the truck business. Nullens also said that he founded more than seven companies adding that Ginimbi’s family was not worried about who will inherit what at the moment since they are mourning their departed relative. The family of Zimbabwean socialite and businessman, Genius Ginimbi Kadungure, has said all mourners who will attend the funeral 36-year-old who died on Sunday will have to wear white.
<a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/11/08/genius-ginimbi-kadungure-has-died/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ginimbi died in a horrific road accident</a> that also claimed the lives of his three friends after his Rolls Royce was involved in a head-on collision along Borrowdale road before veering off the road and hitting a tree on the sideways.
He is expected to be buried this Saturday at on Saturday in his yard in Domboshava, “as he wished to.” Ginimbi’s eldest sister, Juliet told The Herald in an interview that her brother used to tell them that he wanted a huge send-off. She said:

Genius was a fun-loving character. He always reminded us about how he wanted his funeral to be conducted. In fact, he had a plan and always said “ndiri big”, so make sure on my funeral, you do not hurriedly bury me.
Take time, planning for it. Check my requirements well and one of the things is that I want everyone who will be at my funeral to be dressed in all white, no matter who. Please, make sure you emphasise that, remember, I am an all-white guy. The all-white should be on the day of burial.
He would say, make sure you get in touch with my other friends abroad and wait for them to come. That is why we are saying for now the funeral will begin on Thursday and for now people are gathered at our father’s residence which is 400 metres away from Ginimbi’s mansion.

Juliet also urged the public to respect “us and avoid spreading malicious rumours” adding that all the official information would come from the family spokesperson, Clement Kadungure.
Juliet also dismissed as false reports saying the family was barring people from mourning Ginimbi at his mansion.
As for the future of the house, Juliet said Ginimbi always wished for his house to be turned into a museum or a hotel upon his demise.
Meanwhile, the chief executive officer of Ginimbi’s G4K security company, Dr Peter Gwaza, said some people were coming with the intention of stealing Ginimbi’s property.

All Mourners To Wear All White For Ginimbi's Funeral

One of the victims in a road accident that claimed the lives of Zimbabwean socialite and businessman Genius Ginimbi Kadungure and friends was a wanted man in Malawi over an alleged US$30 million heist.
The accident happened Sunday morning along the Borrowdale road when Ginimbi’s speeding Rolls Royce was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Fit before veering off the road, crashing into trees and bursting into flames.
Ginimbi and friends, Moana a fitness bunny whose birthday they had celebrated the previous night, Limumba Karim of Malawi and one Elisha from Mozambique.
Malawi publication Nyasa Times reports that Karim was a fugitive from justice, wanted in connection with the country’s biggest 2013 corruption scandal known as as ‘Cashgate.’
The scandal saw over US$32 million being siphoned out of government coffers and resulted in donors who bankroll the country’s budget by up to 40% pulling the plug on aid.
Karim had faced money laundering charges related to the scandal involving US$2.6 million before he escaped justice and was reportedly based in South Africa.
His bail was revoked in January 2017 and an arrest warrant issued after he failed to attend court prompting his lawyer Wapona Kita to renounce agency. He told the Lilongwe High Court:
<blockquote>I would like to discharge myself from this case as counsel for seventh accused person Mr Limumba Karim.
I can’t get got of him. I don’t know where he is, he is out of reach and since there is no word from him I can’t continue standing here representing him without communication when I don’t know his whereabouts.</blockquote>
Karim is reportedly survived by three children, one in South Africa, a newly born in Mozambique and one in Malawi.
His remains are expected to be repatriated to Malawi for burial.

Victim In Ginimbi Accident Wanted In Malawi Over US$30M Heist

Witnesses have said Ginimbi was still alive when they pulled him out of his Rolls Royce which had been involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Fit on Sunday morning before smashing into roadside trees. They also claim that the three passengers were also alive and were yelling for help but they could not open the vehicle’s doors to pull them out. The vehicle eventually caught fire and exploded killing the three. Ginimbi also died on the spot. Watch the video below for more.

1.) Zororo Makamba.
The 30-year-old was the son of businessman James Makamba. <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/updated-zororo-makamba-is-no-more-confirmed-2nd-covid-19-case/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Zororo was the first officially confirmed victim of the novel coronavirus in Zimbabwe.</a> He reportedly collapsed and died in March 2020 at Wilkins hospital where he was receiving medical attention. 2.) Perrance Shiri
Perrance Shiri was a former army boss and was the Minister of Lands and Agriculture when <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/lands-minister-perrance-shiri-has-died/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">he succumbed to the Coronavirus pandemic on 29 July 2020.</a> His family said he was vomiting on the day of his death prompting them to suspect that he had been poisoned. Results of COVID-19 tests conducted on him reportedly confirmed that he had contracted the virus. He was a liberation war hero. 3.) Genius Ginimbi Kadungure,
Ginimbi was a socialite and businessman in the fuel and liquor sectors. <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/genius-ginimbi-kadungure-has-died/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">He died aged 36 on 8 November 2020 in a horrific car accident</a> after his Rolls Royce was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Fit on his way with three friends to his home in Domboshava. They were coming from Moana’s birthday, Ginimbi’s friend who also died in the accident. He was known for many things including his lavish lifestyle. See his picture attached below.
4.) Cal_Vin, 
The Zimbabwean rap king contender <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/CAL_VIN" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cal Vin (real name Mgcini Calvin Nhliziyo)</a> died aged 35. The Bulawayo-based <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/rapper-cal-vin-dies-after-hit-and-run-car-accident/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">artist died in October 2020 in a hit-and-run road accident</a> around 1 AM near his home in Luveve 5, Bulawayo. 5.) Patson Dzamara
Patson Dzamara was a human rights activist, political activist and member of opposition MDC Alliance led by Nelson Chamisa. <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/human-rights-activist-partson-dzamara-dies/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">He succumbed to cancer of the colon ahead of his scheduled cancer operation</a>. He died aged 34. He was also a brother to missing journalist-cum political activist Itai Dzamara who was reportedly kidnapped by suspected state agents on 09 March 2015 following his solo demonstrations dubbed “Occupy Africa Unity Square.” See Patson’s picture attached below.
