Former Warriors captain Knowledge Musona is open to playing for Zimbabwe, just over a year after retiring from international football.
The Saudi Arabia-based former Kaizer Chiefs striker announced his retirement from international football in May last year, a few months after the belated 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.
Speaking to <a href="https://www.soccer24.co.zw/2023/08/14/musona-open-to-warriors-return/">Soccer24</a>, Zimbabwe national teams General Manager Wellington Mpandare said Musona could consider coming out of retirement if he is needed by the coaches. Said Mpandare:

If the new coach wants him, chances are we can bring him back. I had a chat with him during the off-season when he promised me that he might reconsider his decision.
It all depends now on whether or not the new coach wants him. If he (the incoming Warriors coach) wants him, then I will obviously engage him and convince him to come back and represent Zimbabwe again.
Remember, Knowledge (Musona) is a loyal son of the soil. He loves his country, he is grounded and he is one player that will not be difficult to convince to come back because I know him very well even outside football.
I’m very close to the family as well, and I can even go through his wife. So if the coaches feel he (Musona) is still needed, it will not be difficult for me to convince him to play for the national team again.

Musona made his debut for the Zimbabwe senior men’s national team in 2010 and played 51 times for the Warriors.
He scored 24 goals for the national team – 14 shy of Peter Ndlovu’s record tally of 38.

Musona Open To Warriors Return, Says Mpandare

Zimbabwe national teams General Manager Wellington Mpandare said former Warriors captain Knowledge Musona initially wanted to retire from international football soon after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals before he eventually quit the national team in 2022.
Mpandare told <a href="https://www.soccer24.co.zw/2023/08/14/musona-open-to-warriors-return/">Soccer24</a> that during the AFCON finals held in Cameroon in early 2022, Musona revealed that he intended to retire from international football after the tournament to concentrate more on club football.
Mpandare believes Musona decided to quit the Warriors because of “what he went through as the captain of the national team.” Said Mpandare:

During the last AFCON finals in Cameroon, he told me that he was going to retire from international football after the tournament. We talked about it with Norman Mapeza, who was the coach then.
He (Musona) simply told us that he wanted to concentrate more on club football, having served well in the national team and we just wished him well.
He told us that it was the right time to hand over the responsibility to other upcoming players but realistically, the frustrations were coming from what he went through as the captain of the national team.
If you look at what happened at the 2019 Afcon finals in Egypt, it was draining for him and everyone who was involved in the negotiations over appearance fees and how the tournament ended.
He actually wanted to leave after the 2019 finals but he then decided to stay on. But after the 2021 tournament, he said “enough is enough” and quit.
Remember, at one time before that tournament (AFCON 2021), the players were not focused because they thought Zimbabwe was not going to be allowed to participate since FIFA had suspended the Felton Kamambo-led ZIFA executive.
The suspended Kamambo-led administration didn’t want the team to be allowed to participate and there was a lot of talk of them (the Kamambo-led board) pushing for FIFA and CAF to boot us out of the tournament.
So, that on its own was a distraction and the captain (Musona) felt he didn’t want to have all those problems and decided to walk away.

"Musona Wanted To Quit Warriors In 2019"

Dynamos and Warriors defender Frank Makarati said that Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat should reconsider their decision to retire from international football.
Speaking to <a href="https://www.newsday.co.zw/sport/article/200014430/loud-calls-for-musona-billiats-comeback">NewsDay</a>, the DeMbare captain said Musona and Billiat are now at the peak of their powers and the Warriors need them in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers starting in November. He said:

I don’t know what forced them to make that decision, and we can’t force them to come back. Of course, it might be a good decision on their side, but to be honest, it’s not the best decision for the country.
Personally, I feel that the two are at the peak of their careers, and the country still needs their services.
You try to look around to see who is better than those two in their positions in the Warriors team at the moment… you won’t find any. Their talent and experience are still needed.
People might say we now need new blood in the team, but we as youngsters we need people like Musona to guide, push and motivate us.

Argentina football legend Lionel Messi considered by some football fans to be the G.O.A.T, the greatest footballer of all time, came out of retirement to lead his country to World Cup glory in Qatar in 2022.
Makarati said Musona (33) and Billiat (32) should emulate what Messi did. He said:

Messi retired from Argentina but came back and won the World Cup for his country. Age is still on their side.
We have seen players like Pepe (40) and Christiano Ronaldo (38) playing for Portugal, while Luka Modric (37) is still going strong at Real Madrid and Croatia.
If you compare those players I have mentioned, with, for example, Musona, you will see that he is still very young and has at least three to five years of him playing for the national team.

Billiat announced his retirement from international football in November 2021 saying he has run his race and it is time for him to pave the way for fresh talent.
Musona then announced his retirement from the Warriors in May 2022 after playing for the team since 2010, a period in which he featured 51 times and scored 24 goals.

Warriors Still Need Musona, Billiat, Says Dynamos Captain

Former Warriors midfielder, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Alois_Bunjira/">Alois Bunjira</a>, has urged Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat to reconsider their retirement from international football now that the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has new management. 
His remarks came after the Federation of International Football (FIFA) had lifted the suspension on Zimbabwe and appointed a four-member normalisation committee to take over the day-to-day running of ZIFA until June 2024. The committee is composed of chairperson Lincon Mutasa, Sikhumbuzo Ndebele, Rosemary Mugadza, and Nyasha Sanyamandu. Mutasa, a former Dynamos chairman, Mugadza, a former Mighty Warriors coach, Ndebele, a former Highlanders defender, and Sanyamandwe, a member of the British Sports Lawyers Association and a legal practitioner, were selected to serve on the committee. The suspension of ZIFA has been in effect since Monday 10 July 2022.
In a Facebook post seen by Pindula News, Bunjira expressed his belief that the tried and tested duo of Musona and Billiat would play a critical role in Zimbabwe’s quest to qualify for the World Cup. With limited time for preparation, he believes it is necessary to rely on established players to increase the team’s chances of success. He said:

Now that international football is back, we have a normalisation committee to steer football forward, after the dark days of the past years, and Zimbabwe being placed in a fair World Cup group C, I think it is a perfect platform for Captain Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat to come out of their forced retirement and carry the torch with the warriors for one last push, while we sort out our development structures, to groom their future replacements.
We all know why Musona and Billiat retired from the Warriors. All that is sorted now. The culprits are gone. Between now and the World Cup qualifiers, we don’t have time for experiments. I believe we now have a committee that will put in place our junior national teams where younger players are developed and groomed for the Warriors. We also have the CHAN and COSSFA tournaments where experiments and grooming is done. The Warriors is a product and window of what has been developed.

Bunjira believes that Zimbabwe has been drawn into a reasonably fair <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/2023/07/13/zimbabwe-nigeria-sa-in-group-c-of-world-cup-2026-qualifiers/">group for the World Cup</a> which is comprised of Nigeria, South Africa, Benin, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, and Lesotho. He believes that with the inclusion of all the best players on the team and proper preparation, the country can put up a good fight. Additionally, he emphasised the importance of tapping into the deep reserves of football talent in the diaspora, across the world.
<a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/2021/011/15/it-was-all-a-dream-khama-billiat-retires-from-international-football/">Billiat retired from international football</a> after Zimbabwe’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia in November 2021. A highly regarded player for the Warriors, he scored important goals, made assists, and displayed crowd-pleasing dribbling skills. It was expected he would retire after the AFCON finals in 2022. While he stated that he was retiring to allow other players a chance to represent Zimbabwe, there were rumours that he quit over the manner the team was being governed.
Knowledge Musona, known as “The Smiling Assassin,” <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/2022/05/19/knowledge-musona-retires-from-international-football/">announced his retirement from international football</a> on Thursday, 19 May 2022. The Saudi Arabia-based striker stated that he is quitting the Warriors to concentrate on his club career and to allow other players a chance to represent Zimbabwe.

Bunjira: It's Time For Musona And Billiat To Come Out Of Forced Retirement

Former Zimbabwe international football player, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Knowledge_Musona/">Knowledge Musona</a>, has signed for newly-promoted Saudi Arabian club, Al Riyadh FC, after leaving fellow Saudi Pro League side, Al Tai. Musona will become a free agent on July 1st when his Al Tai contract expires.
Al Riyadh FC finished fourth in the First Division to earn promotion to the Saudi Pro League for the upcoming season. Musona’s experience and talent are expected to be important for the team’s top-flight status.
He is known for his skills as a dead ball specialist and assist master. In the previous season, the 32-year-old scored eight goals and provided nine assists in 29 games for Al Tai.
The Saudi Pro League is attracting some of the world’s leading players, with impressive investment from the Saudi Arabian government. The league is expected to become a new Eldorado of world football with Cristiano Ronaldo’s spectacular signing by Al Nasr after the World Cup in Qatar, Karim Benzema’s joined Al Ittihad while other star players have joined the trek to the oil rich nation.
Musona will be eager to continue his good form in the upcoming season. Zimbabwe's Knowledge Musona Leaves Al Tai For Al Riyadh FC

Former Warriors striker Matthew Rusike has described Knowledge Musona as by far the most consistent and important national team player, ever.
Musona, who plays for Al-Tai in the Saudi Professional League, announced on Thursday, 19 May that he was retiring from the Warriors to focus on his career at the club level.
The 31-year-old former TSG 1899 Hoffenheim striker said the other reason he was quitting national duty was to give his other teammates and upcoming players the opportunity to represent the Warriors.
Posting on Twitter on Friday afternoon, Rusike said since he was 12-year-old, he has drawn inspiration from Musona. <a href="https://twitter.com/Mattyrusike/status/1527602282090618882">He wrote:</a>

In his statement addressed to Zimbabweans, Musona said he will cherish every moment that he has spent as a member of the Warriors squad.

Matthew Rusike Pays Tribute To Musona

Knowledge Musona has retired from international football to focus on his career at the club level.
Musona, nicknamed “The Smiling Assasin”, issued a statement on Thursday, 19 May announcing his retirement from the Warriors to the nation at large.
The Saudi-based striker said the other reason he is quitting national duty is to give his other teammates and upcoming players the opportunity to represent the Warriors.
Musona also pleaded with football authorities to work together for the good of the game and also to ensure that Zimbabwean footballers have the opportunity to play international football.
Zimbabwe is currently banned from international football. The ban was imposed by FIFA early this year after the Sports and Recreation Commission (ZIFA) suspended the elected ZIFA board.

It is with a heavy heart that I officially announce my retirement from national duty with our beloved national football team, the Warriors.
It is a decision that I do not take lightly after representing our beloved country for 12 years, starting with my first appearance on the 3rd of March 2010, in a game versus South Africa.
My time with the Warriors has been an incredible and rewarding journey that I am thankful to have had the opportunity to undertake, one that I only dreamt of achieving early on in my professional career.

Knowledge Musona Retires From International Football

Warriors captain Knowledge Musona, was left a frustrated man after his team’s insipid home performance, in a 2022 World Cup qualifier against South Africa, at the National Sports Stadium, on Friday afternoon.
Musona told journalists that he thought it wise to keep his counsel on the team’s performances as he could have said “wrong things”. Said Musona:

I personally didn’t speak, you know when you are coming out of the game frustrated that you didn’t win, sometimes you might end up saying the wrong things. But, I think we still have time together.
I think we just needed time for everyone to calm down so that we can go back to the drawing board, and see what we can do.
As the captain of the team, I think I have to say something.
We know the country is not happy. We know Zimbabweans don’t want us to lose points. They expect a win but there are three results in a game.

The hosts hardly tested the visitors’ goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, throughout the entire 90 minutes, in a match that ended in a goalless draw.
The SuperSport United goalkeeper was only tested when he produced a stunning near-post save, to send Khama Billiat’s vicious shot, over the bar.
The out-of-sorts Warriors’ passing was horrific, they failed to execute the very basics of the game, playing to the South African tune who, from the first whistle, seemed to be looking for a draw.
Meanwhile, Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic blamed a lack of match fitness for his charges’ lacklustre performance.
The Croat said that under the circumstances, a draw with Bafana Bafana was a fair result.

Musona Understands Warriors Fans' Frustration

Warriors captain Knowledge Musona has joined Saudi Arabian football club Al-Tain, from Belgian giants, Anderlecht.
Musona’s club future has been a subject of much speculation over the past several months, with a move to the United States or a return to South Africa considered a possibility.
The speculation has finally been laid to rest after Anderlecht confirmed the 31-year-old’s move to Saudi Arabia on their Twitter account.
Musona will now play for Al-Tain which gained promotion to Saudi Arabia’s top-flight league at the end of last season.
They finished third, in the second-tier league, securing the final slot for a place in the top-flight league.
Musona’s move to a cash-rich Saudi club could be just what the doctor ordered as this could be his last major contract, in either Europe or the Middle East.

Warriors Captain, Musona, Joins Saudi Arabian Club

Zimbabwe Warriors team has suffered another blow after South Africa-based striker Knox Mutizwa who plies his trade for Golden Arrows pulled out of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier matches against Botswana and Zambia after suffering an injury.
Knox joins a legion of other star players who have been ruled out of the upcoming AFCON matches over injuries or travel restrictions in the countries they reside.
Warriors coach Zdravko Loga Logarusic said the Zambia and Botswana encounters will likely be very hard after nine players who played in a 2-2 draw against Group H leaders, Algeria, are not available this time. Loga said:
<blockquote>The game against Botswana will be, of course, very difficult for us because we never expected that we will play that game missing nine players whom we had when we played Algeria . . . and we have to deal with the situation.</blockquote>
Star players who have been ruled out include United States-based goalkeeper Tatenda Mkuruva, UK-based Marvelous Nakamba, Tendayi Darikwa, and Jordan Zemura, France-based Tinotenda Kadewere and Marshall Munetsi as well as South Africa-based Khama Billiat.
Warriors manager, Wellington Mpandare told Sunday News that defender Kelvin Moyo, who is down with a bout of malaria, had also been added to the casualty list.
On a positive note, a travel headache earlier stated has now been resolved and the Warriors can now travel from Johannesburg direct to Francistown.

Blow For Zimbabwe As Another Warriors Striker Pulls Out Of AFCON

Twenty-four Zimbabwean international footballers have confirmed that they will be part of the Warriors team to face both Botswana and Zambia for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier matches.
Zimbabwe will be without a number of key Warriors players including Khama Billiat and Marvelous Nakamba due to injuries and or travel restrictions by either their clubs or host countries.
The fate of France-based Marshall Munetsi and Tino Kadewere is not known at the moment although their clubs have applied the Fifa circular of February 5, 2021, which prohibits African players to travel to their home countries.
French Ligue 1 coaches are reportedly pressuring their clubs so that they release the players for African duty. Tino and Munetsi’s clubs, in that order, Lyonnais and Stade Reims, had given the players the green light to travel for the two matches.

His best seasons with Amakhosi were arguably during Baxter’s three years at Chiefs, but he remained a key component even after the former Bafana Bafana mentor left Naturena, going on to captain the side on a number of occasions, under different coaches.

OPINION: Katsande And Musona Kaizer Chiefs' Finest Zim Imports - Soccer Laduma

Zimbabwe Warriors and the Desert Foxes of Algeria shared spoils when they drew 2-2 this Monday in an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier match played at the National Sports Stadium.
Algeria scored its two goals in the first half taking away hope for the hosts who were desperate for points considering that rivals, Zambia at 3 points, were a point behind.
Warriors captain Knowledge Musona scored a splendid free-kick before half time to bring Zimbabwe back into the game.
A few minutes before the final whistle, former Highlanders striker, Prince Dube, scored his first touch after coming in for Tendai Darikwa, making the score 2-2.
Zimbabwe made four changes in the 46th minute introducing Divine Lunga, Ovidy Karuru, Kuda Mahachi and Khama Billiat for Adam Chicksen, Rusike, Jordan Zemura and David Moyo.
The changes saw the Warriors’ midfield stabilising while the attack was intensified.

AFCON: Zimbabwe Algeria Share Spoils At NSS

Zimbabwean international footballer, Knowledge Musona found the back of the net on Sunday to double KAS Eupen’s lead against Royal Antwerp.
The 30-year-old Warriors captain scored after 53 minutes to make it 2-0 after Smail Prevljak had converted a first-half penalty, to put them on the path to victory.
However, the KAS Eupen failed to collect maximum points as the hosts eventually equalised through Nigerian Junior Pius who scored a brace late in the second half. The match ended 2-2.
The former Kaizer Chiefs forward is being played in a midfield role by his coach, behind the three KAS Eupen forwards.
Musona’s form is positive news for the Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic who is expected to ensemble a team to play in the upcoming back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Algeria in November.

Zimbabwe international striker Knowledge Musona was on target as his side, KAS Eupen, drew 2-2 against Sint Truiden in a friendly match on Friday.
The Warriors captain scored in the 13th minute to give his side the lead.
Sint Truden however, hit back twice before Eupen equalised in the second half to secure the 2-all draw.

Musona Scores In KAS Eupen Friendly Match

Dutch club RSC Anderlecht have agreed to extend Zimbabwean striker Knowledge Musona’s loan deal at KAS Eupen.
Eupen confirmed in a statement on Thursday that Musona will stay at the club on a season-long loan. The statement read:
<blockquote>Zimbabwean international Knowledge Musona will continue to play for KAS Eupen in the coming season.
KAS Eupen has agreed with the RSC Anderlecht and Knowledge Musona to extend the loan of Knowledge Musona.</blockquote>

Musona Seals Season-long Deal At KAS Eupen

Former Warriors coach Norman Mapeza believes that Knowledge Musona could have been more successful in his European adventure had he moved to France or Europe when he left South Africa.
Mapeza said that unlike the Bundesliga (the German topflight), French and Dutch clubs have a history of nurturing young talent including players from outside Europe. Mapeza said:
<blockquote>He (Musona) has done well, especially with the national teams. Massive, massive contributions and his stats say it all.
As for club football, I think it wasn’t that smooth-sailing and I’m sure he can admit to that.
The Bundesliga, where he started his European adventure, is always a difficult league to develop as a young player and, the fact that he was coming from Africa, didn’t help him much.
If he had started his European career in countries like France or Holland, for example, at a team like Ajax, because of their history in producing young talent, we could be talking about a different story.</blockquote>
Mapeza, one of the few Zimbabwean players who have featured in the UEFA Champions League, said one needs time to adapt to the environment, the weather, and new tactics, and some players fail to adapt because they are not given the time to acclimatise.
Musona moved to Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim six months after Brazilian forward, Roberto Firmino, had arrived at the club from Figueirense.
While Musona is no longer wanted at his Dutch club Anderlecht, Firmino has gone on to win the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and is on the verge of winning the English Premier League title with Liverpool.

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Ntokozo Sikhakhane has urged the club to re-sign Zimbabwe international striker Knowledge Musona who is no longer wanted at Belgian side RSC Anderlecht.
Sikhakhane told Soccer Laduma that though Musona would likely demand a lucrative contract since he will be coming from Europe, Chiefs should try to get him. He said:
<blockquote>Apart from contracts and money, with his style of play, I would say he must go back to where he comes from. He must go to where he knows the culture and the management.
The supporters love him there, and that’s at Kaizer Chiefs. When he left for overseas the supporters were behind him and supporting him.

Kaizer Chiefs Legend Urges Club To Re-sign Musona

Zimbabwean national football team captain Knowledge Musona’s Belgian club, Anderlecht are in talks for a possible transfer to rivals KAS Eupen, his representative Mike Makaab has confirmed.
The deal however, hinges on a high transfer fee Anderlecht is likely to demand for Musona as he still has two years left on his contract as well as Eupen’s inability to match the Zimbabwean’s lucrative wages at the Belgians giants. Said Makaab:

Warriors captain Knowledge Musona reportedly earns over US$1 million annually, making him the fourth highest-paid player at Belgian Pro League football side Anderlecht.
Musona (29), who is contracted to Anderlecht until July 2022, has already earned close to €2 million (US$2 191 766,29) despite not playing consistently for the club.
If Anderlecht transfer-list Musona as is expected, the club will continue to pay him around €80 000 per month (US$87 670,65), until he finds a new club.
Musona made just one reserve team appearance for the club this season before sealing a loan switch to fellow Belgian top-flight side KAS Eupen during the January transfer window period in search of regular game time.
At KAS Eupen, the former Kaizer Chiefs striker scored two goals in six starts before the season was halted by the coronavirus pandemic.

Belgium-based Warriors striker Knowledge Musona could be leaving Anderlecht in the coming weeks even though the club has not yet officially transfer-listed him.
The 29-year-old’s representative, Mike Makaab told Soccer Laduma that Musona does not feature in the new coach’s and the philosophy of the club. He said:
<blockquote>No, we haven’t received any official announcement that he has been transfer-listed.  But listen, it is clear that he does not feature in the new coach’s (Frank Vercauteren) plans and the philosophy of the club.
The philosophy of the club is to promote young players through their development system.  Knowledge had done really well at Eupen, though he only played six games before the league was suspended and then ended.

Warriors Captain, Knowledge Musona has reportedly been listed among Anderlecht players who have been informed to look for new clubs.
Since the arrival of Manchester City legend, Vincent Kompany, at the club, Musona has was restricted 
to just one reserve team appearance for the Belgian giants this season before his January loan switch to KAS Eupen.
At Eupen, Musona scored two goals in six starts before the Belgian top-flight came to a sudden halt due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A Belgian news outlet, Voetbal24, reports that Musona, Kenny Saief, Antonio Milic, Kristal Abazaj, 
Aristote Nkaka, Adrien Trebel and Ognjen Vranjes have been informed to find new clubs after consultation with technical staff.
When the Smiling Assassin, as Musona is affectionately known, joined Eupen on loan in January, the club reportedly expressed interest in offering him a permanent deal.
Musona, a former teammate to Brazilian and Liverpool forward, Roberto Frimino, became one of the leading performers in the Belgian top-flight league during his time at Oostende when he scored 41 goals and made 18 assists in 112 games.
His last two seasons, however, have had frustrating results as he only scored four times in 17 starts across all competitions.

Zimbabwe Warriors Captain, Knowledge Musona Scores On Eupen Debut

Warriors Captain <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Knowledge_Musona" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Knowledge Musona</a> said it was a no-brainer signing for Belgian side KAS Eupen as he had a good impression during the club’s training camp in Doha Qatar last week when he was on trials.
Speaking in his first press conference as a KAS  Eupen player on Friday afternoon, Musona said:
<blockquote>I got to know the club and the team during the training camp in Doha and this week in training in Eupen, and I have a very good impression.
I feel comfortable here and I hope to get playing time and support my teammates. The friendly matches against Ajax Amsterdam and PSV Eindhoven were a good start. I am a versatile striker who can be aligned in the middle and on both sides.
I play where the coach asks, maybe already against Charleroi, because I’m in good shape.</blockquote>
Writing on Twitter later on Friday, Musona pledged to “fight” for Eupen. He said:

Musona Speaks After Signing For KAS Eupen

Warriors captain <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Knowledge_Musona" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Knowledge Musona</a> is not worried that his failure to play for his Belgian club Anderlecht this season may negatively affect his performances for the national team.
During his time at Bundesliga side Turn- und Sportgemeinschaft 1899 Hoffenheim (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim), Musona did not play regularly but performed well when he played for the Warriors. He said:

Former Warriors captain, Knowledge Musona has sent a message in support of the current squad ahead of the second leg of the preliminary round of the World Cup Qualifier against Somalia today at the National Sports Stadium.
Musona was not called up for the qualifiers and has remained in Belgium where his future at Anderletch hangs in the balance.

Musona Sends Message To Warriors Ahead Of Somalia Clash

Warriors captain <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Knowledge_Musona">Knowledge Musona</a> has said that Robson Sharuko and the Herald lied in an article earlier today that <a href="https://www.soccer24.co.zw/2019/08/10/musona-to-undergo-surgery-for-ankle-injury-he-previously-claimed-tb-joshua-healed/">claimed he is nursing an ankle injury</a>. The report said that Musona is set to undergo surgery in Munich, Germany.
Musona, however, used his Twitter to say that the claim is false and that he does not have an ankle injury.
Said Musona:
