Zimbabwe National Students Union (Zinasu) University of Zimbabwe, Student Representative Council President, Tonderai Dombo, was arrested today for raising a placard demanding jobs in a bid to seek an audience with Robert Mugabe during the UZ graduation ceremony.
Zinasu Secretary, Makomborero Haruzivishe condemned the arrest and said,
Robert Mugabe is now an unnecessary political,social and economic liability to our country. He has not only unabatadely pioneered the plunder of all the fruits of our independence but also devoured our independence and future as a generation and country. ZINASU is in full solidarity with cde Dombo and we are demanding his immediate and unconditional release!
Graduates have recently come out demanding the 2 million jobs that were promised by Zanu-PF when they were campaigning during the 2013 election.
