Starving villagers in Masvingo, have resorted to going through bins at Pamushana High School, to find leftovers. So dire is the situation, that the villagers have organized themselves and elected a chairman so that they can collect and distribute the food in an orderly manner.
One of the villagers is quoted by the Masvingo Mirror as saying:
Families at home including children are actually waiting for us to arrive with this food.
