Prominent lawyer Advocate Fadzayi Mahere has been arrested for protesting against the impending introduction Bond Notes in the Africa Unity Square in Harare today. Mahere was protesting as part of the #MunhuWeseMuroad demonstration that was planned for today but ultimately failed to take place effectively after key leaders, Patson Dzamara and others, were abducted.
Mahere was arrested together with a group of people she was protesting with.

Earlier in the day, Mahere posted pictures to social media appealing to Zimbabweans to come and join them. Politician, Acie Lumumba was part of the group. He however was not arrested. He posted to Facebook later confirming the arrest of Mahere:
