The Polish widow of the late war veterans chairman Chenjerai Hunzvi is unhappy with the Zimbabwean Authorities. Wieslawa Kanclerz, 64, has revealed that she has not been getting her husband’s benefits since Hunzvi died 15 years ago. In an interview with NewZimbabwe.com, Kanclerz revealed that the benefits have now accrued to $11 504. However, the bank is not transferring the money to her base in Poland.
Kanclerz said:
I have never received this compensation,
…. Bank Harare has been sending me bank statements every month since your economic problems occurred.
From that moment I have been asking several times the bank manager about all those issues. I was completely ignored…I don’t have the money in real; I have it only in your local bank. I fulfil all requirements the bank needed including Swift numbr to my bank in Poland.
