Mujuru takes aim at "power drunk" Tsvangirai and Didymus Mutasa

In a statement, National People’s Party (NPP) spokesperson, Mr Jealousy Mawarire said that there was no God-given instruction that MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai should lead the opposition coalition.

Mawarire also took time to address The Daily News headline that NPP leader Joice Mujuru was unsure about the coalition. He also said Tsvangirai was so power hungry to the extent of hiring Zimbabwe People First(ZimPF) elder Didymus Mutasa to do endorse him as the leader of the coalition. Said Mawarire:

It should, however, be abundantly clear that Mujuru and NPP are amenable to a coalition, but we are against individuals who are so power drunk to the extent of wanting to be endorsed by questionable characters who have no political party, have a dirty and murderous past and are known now for their desperate attempts at getting back to good terms with Mugabe.

Mawarire said that there should be a democratic process to choose the leader of the coalition. However Tsvangirai’s spokesperson Mr Luke Tomborinyoka dismissed Mawarire’s claim that his boss was so desperate to lead the proposed coalition.
