The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) earlier today conducted a mock voter registration at Mabvuku High School. The next test will be done at Murape Secondary tomorrow (25 April 2017). A team of 10 ZEC employees registered school children aged 17 and below by 31 December 2017 who will not be part of next year’s voters.
The tests were done to test:
- Equipment set up and time taken to do so
- Flashing out of double registrations
- How the webcam captures the photograph
- How the finger print scanner captures the finger print
- Battery life of the kit
