In a closed door meeting on Wednesday, local government minister Saviour Kasukuwere told Norton Town Councillors to ignore the town’s legislator Temba Mliswa and focus on service delivery.
Norton council chairperson Precious Mufahore confirmed that Kasukuwere had told them to go back and work in their wards and leave Mliswa. Besides approaching Kasukuwere to reign in Mliswa, the councillors also resolved to engage the police for their personal safety as they feared that he could harm them. Mliswa has however denied the Councillor’s allegations against him.
