Former Cabinet Minister Dr Nkosana Moyo said that he is seriously thinking of running for President in next year’s elections as an Independent candidate. Speaking at the National University of National Science and Technology’s American Space in Bulawayo on Wednesday, Moyo revealed that he did not want to be affiliated with any party because it would result in skewed priorities. Said Moyo:
I have been seriously considering running for the presidency because I believe if I win, I will be able to show people that I can change a lot of things in the country very quickly. Our country can actually prosper very well if we elect a good candidate
I am taking my time but I will definitely announce something to the people in the next few weeks. It’s a thing which I have been seriously considering for a very long time,
Throughout Africa political parties have got a history of catering for the interests of their members only. I don’t think that approach is good and I want everybody to benefit from the national cake
