CAPS United "ill-treated" by hosts, made to wait over 3 hours

CAPS United were made to wait over three hours at Carthage International Airport in Tunis by immigration officials who claimed that the man authorised to stamp their visas was said not in his office.

However, the Zimbabweans were allowed to proceed without their visas being stamped after they threatened to lodge a complaint with the Confederation of African Football. After the wait at the airport, CAPS United were made to endure a two-and-half hour trip in a bus to Sfax, which is about 266km from Tunisia. CAPS United coach, Lloyd Chitembwe is said to have urged his players not to be distracted by the mind games. Said Chitembwe:

We are still in this competition, you guys have made a name of fighting against the odds and this game gives you another chance to live up to that reputation once more. Don’t get disturbed by the mind games, focus on the game and show that you are not in the group stages by chance.
