Zanu-PF Harare Province stands by decision to suspend Kasukuwere's friend, accuses him of dictatorship

Zanu-PF Harare Province has stood by its decision to suspend Charles Tavengwa as chairperson of the province despite Saviour Kasukuwere’s declaration that the move is null and void.

In a press conference today, interim Zanu PF Harare provincial chairman, Justice Zvandasara who was flanked by the interim deputy provincial chairman and other provincial coordinating committee members gave reason why they suspended Tavengwa. Said Zvandasara:

Detailed allegations forming the basis of the recalling are, 1. imposition of candidates, a the current primary elections in ward 46 in which he wanted to conduct elections without proper procedure of holding a PED meeting. 2. The rigging of primary elections in Norton which led to unconstitutional suspension of Harare Province vice chairman, Cde Kahanana for exposing it. 3. His toxic relationship with the rejected National Political Commissar, Cde Saviour Kasukuwere has directly affected smooth running of the province, Cde Tavengwa is exhibiting signs of dictatorship.
