Allies of under fire Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa are reported to be plotting their own counter moves after their leader was humilated by First Lady Grace Mugabe. The allies are reported to be pushing Mnangagwa to dump his quiet diplomacy and launch a response aftter his supporters were on the brunt end of withering critticism from Grace at the Youth Interface Rally in Chinhoyi.
A source who spoke to NewsDay said:
We are still in the game and a response is needed
There are some who have been trying to tell Mnangagwa to step down after a series of humiliations, but that’s not going to happen.
We will not allow a (Joice) Mujuru to happen to him, the gloves are off and we will respond.
