Speaking during a joint press conference by the Minister of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture Makhosini Hlongwane and Zifa president Philip Chiyangwa, Hlongwane announced that the Warriors and Barcelona match will be held on November 12.
Said Hlongwane:
Barcelona legends shall arrive in Zimbabwe on November 11. They will then play the historic game on November 12 at 1500 hours before (going) to Victoria Falls on November 13 duly accompanied by the ministers of Sport, Arts and Culture, and Tourism and Hospitality. The Barcelona legends are then expected to fly back to their respective bases as from November 14.
Gate takings for the match haven’t been confirmed yet, but minister Hlongwane emphasised that the charges will be affordable. Legends Peter Ndlovu and Benjani Mwaruwari have been called up to feature in the match.
