Mnangagwa Ally Magura Charumbira Buried

The late Zanu-PF Youth League Bulawayo district chairperson, Magura Charumbira who died in a car accident on the 8th of this month and was declared a liberation war hero by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, has been buried today at Charumbira Village in Masvingo.

ZBC News reports Masvingo Minister of State for Provincial Affairs, Josiah Hungwe described Charumbira as a brave cadre while family representative, Chief Fortune Charumbira narrated the events leading to the accident, describing the late Magura as a man who believed in just rule.

Members of the Youth League who were led by Secretary for Youth Affairs in the Politburo Cde Pupurayi Togarepi concurred that the void left by Charumbira will be difficult to fill. Charumbira is known for leading a group of Zanu-PF Youths that heckled and booed former first lady Grace Mugabe at a Youth Interface Rally in November last year. His actions indirectly accelerated the events which led to the downfall of Mugabe and the ascendancy of Mnangagwa after Mugabe made good on his threat to fire Mnangagwa.  This resulted in the Zimbabwe Defence Forces launching Operation Restore Legacy less than two weeks later.
