Nelson Chamisa Challenges Mnangagwa To Presidential Debates, Says He Must Bring Help

MDC-T leader and presidential candidate for coalition MDC Alliance, Nelson Chamisa, has challenged President Emmerson Mnangagwa to a presidential debate. The concept of presidential debates was popularised by the United States of America but has been adopted by some African countries such as Ghana and Kenya. Chamisa said that the presidential debates will expose Mnangagwa’s poor grasp of important issues adding that he will outclass Mnangagwa to the point that the Zanu-PF leader would have to seek help from his deputy Kembo Mohadi or Buhera South legislator Joseph Chinotimba.

Addressing party members in Harare yesterday, Chamsia said,

I am saying Mnangagwa, let’s go for a debate on issues,

I do not want Mnangagwa on his own because he is incapable. I want him to be helped by Mohadi and if that fails, maybe (Buhera South legislator Joseph) Chinotimba can help.

The president is yet to respond to the challenge.
