Obert Gutu, the deputy president for Thokozani Khupe’s breakaway MDC-T has ruled out any reconciliation with the Nelson Chamisa led MDC-T. He also said that Chamisa led MDC-T party was going to be humiliated in the forthcoming 2018 elections. In an interview with The Standard, Gutu said,
We have since moved on. There’s a snowball’s chance in hell of us reuniting with those other people. Maybe we will reunite with them when the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. Put alternatively, it will take the second coming of the Son of Man in order for us to reunite with people who are intrinsically violent, malicious, vindictive and thoroughly disorderly.
They (Nelson Chamisa’s MDC-T) think they are going to win the elections, yet the reality is that they will suffer a crushing and humiliating defeat. Just watch the space.
