It's Not Morally Right To Lie: Church Leaders Tell Chamisa

In an interview with The Herald, El Shaddai Ministries founder Bishop Patience Hove said that leaders, especially pastors, should always be truthful. Nelson Chamisa is also a pastor with the Apostolic Faith Mission Church.

Said Hove:

It is not morally right to lie. As a Christian, integrity is of paramount importance. If you are to teach the word of God, you need to be truthful. If you are a pastor, you must lead by the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit doesn’t lie. It’s clear in the Bible that your truth shall set you free, so if you want your followers to respect you it is always good to be truthful all the time.

Pastor Edwin Masango of the Greater Joy Worship Centre told The Herald any pastor should stand for the truth. A Harare-based pastor who spoke on condition of anonymity quoted Proverbs 6:16-19.
