Mnangagwa Sets 2030 Target To Rid Zimbabwe Of Poverty, Corruption

President-elect, Emmerson Mnangagwa has said that his government’s target is to build a middle-income country by 2030. He said that by that year, his government expects the country to be free of poverty and corruption.

Mnangagwa was speaking at the National Heroes Acre while observing National Heroes Day.

…As we seek to modernise and industrialise our economy in line with our national vision to become a middle income economy with increased investment, decent jobs, broad-based empowerment, free from poverty and corruption by 2030, it is our collectibe responsibility to achieve this vision by growing the economy together, creating employment for the majority of the people and improving the standard of living for all our people.
