Mnangagwa Says He Will Publicise The Motlanthe Commission Report

President Emmerson Mnangagwa said that he will make the Motlanthe Report public since the hearings were done in public. He said this at a re-alignment workshop with heads of foreign missions at Darewndale on Monday. Said Mnangagwa

The hearings were done in public, so the report will be shared with the public.

Meanwhile, University of Zimbabwe law lecturer and Motlanthe Commissioner, Lovemore Madhuku, said that there is no longer that compels Mnangagwa to make the report public immediately. Madhuku had this to say

There is, in the law, room to be given to the President to read the report and thereafter to make it public. There is no law which says the President should make the report public immediately after being given.

The procedure at law is that he receives the report; he studies it and then makes it public. As far as we are concerned, the report will be made public.
