Road Traffic Accidents on Christmas Day this year were 33% higher than those recorded last year. Police records show that 122 accidents happened on the day, compared to 89 in 2017.
12 people died in the accidents this year and 63 people were injured.
2018 has been a bloody year, with many accidents recorded, especially the second half of the year when bus accidents claimed scores of people.
