The Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) said in a statement today that it has deployed lawyers to offer legal support to the nine members of the Amalgamated Rural Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ). The ARTUZ officials were arrested on Monday morning at Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube’s offices. The statement reads as follows:
