Foreign Affairs Minister Sibusiso Moyo signed a $500 000 a year contract with top Trump fundraiser Brian Ballard on 13 February 2019.
Zimbabwe will pay the USD $500 000 fee in $150 000 quarterly instalments to Ballard Partners. James Rubin the husband of CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour will be the lead lobbyist from Ballard Partners for Zimbabwe. Ballard Partners was hired to lobby the US government on the removal of sanctions against Zimbabwe. The sanctions were recently renewed by one year.
