Memorial Service Held For Fan Who Died During Warriors Match

A memorial service for the Warriors’ fan who passed away following a stampede at the National Sports Stadium (NSS) was held today at the Salvation Army Church in Braeside.

Friends and family attended the funeral church service of Egnah Nyamadzawo who passed away following a stampede in Zimbabwe’s AFCON match against Congo Brazzaville at the weekend.

One of the survivors of Sunday’s stampede is a close friend to Egnah, Patience Muza who escaped with injuries to her right arm and fractured leg. Muza gave an account of what had happened on Sunday. Egnah is set to be buried in Domboshava on Wednesday (tomorrow). She leaves behind two children, Lenon and Leon and husband Mike Mupinga.
