A Dynamos FC Fan died yesterday in a car accident on her way to a match. She was traveling in a kombi with other fans of the team from Gweru to Bulawayo for a match against Chicken Inn at Luveve Stadium.
Other fans were injured in the accident.
Said Taranhike, Dynamos supporters association national vice-chairman:
One of our Gweru chapter members died, they were on their way to watch the team play against Chicken Inn in Bulawayo when they were involved in an accident. They had hired a kombi, we were told some of them were injured but we could not get the number,
This is the second death in a few weeks in an event closely related to soccer. In March, a female supporter of the Zimbabwe national team was trampled to death in a stampede at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.
