MDC leader Nelson Chamisa said the party founding father, the late founding father Morgan Tsvangirai anointed him his successor.
Speaking at a party meeting in Harare on Tuesday night, Chamisa said that no one should question the way he is leading party. He said:
Mudhara Tsvangirai akasiya andipa chinhu ichi (Tsvangirai gave me this crown). The vision is given to one person only not to many, we are following the vision, we know where we are and you don’t ask where we are going because we know the direction we are taking..

Chamisa took over MDC leadership following the death of Tsvangirai last year. He is tipped to retain the post at the upcoming May Congress considering that he has been nominated unchallenged for the post in all provinces that have conducted the nomination process so far.
Ahead of the Congress, Chamisa warned party members against violence.
