Grace Mugabe's Bed Room Broken Into

Two armed robbers who broke into former first Lady Grace Mugabe’s Chivhu rural bedroom in Mazhawidza village on Thursday pleaded guilty to theft charges when they appeared before Chivhu regional magistrate on Friday.

Chivhu regional magistrate Fadzai Mutombeni on Friday remanded them in custody to today for sentencing facing five counts of armed robbery and unlawful entry charges which occurred in Chief Musarurwa’s area.

The witness tricked him into believing him that surely she was not going to report the matter. She let him back into the house to return the stolen property and locked the house from outside before calling the police.

The accused was arrested and led the police to his accomplice, Simbarashe Chokera (25) of Chivhu who was later extracted from Hokonya mountains where he was hiding.

Some of the stolen recovered at the accused’s place of residence in Chivhu town.
