On 25 May 2019, members of Zanu-PF joined the December 12th Movement in a protest held at the White House in the Washington DC, USA. The protest was against sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by the US government. In the video, Dr Guni, the Zanu-PF chairman in the USA, thanks the December 12th MMovement for their solidarity in calling for the removal of the Sanctions. Guni also took a moment to remember the late leader and founder of the December 12 Movement, Coltrane Chimurenga.
