The National Physicians Association of Zimbabwe has, in response to the reintroduction of the Zimbabwean dollar and ban of all foreign currencies on domestic transactions, hiked fees. The new fees are effective immediately.
The development shall see consultation fees going four times higher than the salary of the least paid civil servant. The Initial Consultation at Rooms for the first time now costs ZW$1800, Review at the Rooms now costs ZW$1050, Initial consultation at Hospital now costs ZW$1800 whilst Subsequent Consultation at Hospital for the first four days now costs ZW$1800 per day.
