Chitembwe Says Harare Derby Lived To It's Top Billing

Caps United FC coach Lloyd Chitembwe was satisfied by the quality of football shown by both sets of players in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match against cross-town rivals Dynamos played at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.

The match ended 1-1 after Joel Ngodzo scored for the Green Machine in the 43rd minute with Simbarashe Nhivi equalising for Dynamos soon after.

In his post-match media briefing, Chitembwe asserted that his players did everything they could, only that the win was elusive. He said:

I thought it was a very good game, especially for those that were watching.

Congratulations to both sets of players, I thought they applied themselves, they gave the fans what they always want.

The hunger was there, it meant so much for them and from that perspective I am very happy.

I thought my team gave a very good performance. Our built-ups in the first half were precise and our ball retention was very good.

A lot of things about our game today were very good save for the fact that we could not get a winner.

Caps United remain 3rd on the log on 27 points. They are behind FC Platinum and Chicken Inn. Dynamos are on 20 points after 15 games.
