Vice President, Kembo Mohadi has said that members of the public must see business opportunities in the national clean-up campaigns initiated by President Mnangagwa.
Mohadi was addressing stakeholders during Friday’s national clean-up campaign in Beitbridge at Pagomba Café in ward 5. He said:
As we participate in these national clean-up events let us also think of recycling as a business enterprise and establish such income-generating projects in line with our national vision to attain an upper-middle-income economy by 2030.
He also expressed his concern over Local Government Authorities’ lethargic speed in embracing modern waste management systems which can even generate money for them.
His remarks come amidst reports that Harare City Council has been failing to find the best suitor for the tender of its waste management project.
