Mariage Proposal Gone Wrong, Man Drowns During Underwater Proposal.

An American citizen drowned and died while proposing to his girlfriend underwater in Tanzania. Steven Weber and his woman Kenesha Antoine were holidaying at the Manta Resort, off Pemba Island. The 2 were staying in a submerged cabin anchored underwater around 10m (32ft) deep. The couple had booked four nights at the resort’s underwater room, which lies approximately 250m (820ft) from the shore.

On the 3rd day of the vacation Mr Weber went underwater wearing a mask and some fins and produced a letter that read:

I can’t hold my breath long enough to tell you everything I love about you. But… everything I love about you, I love more every day

His girlfriend was watching from inside the cabin. According to BBC Mr Weber then turned over the sheet of paper to reveal the proposal, before pulling an engagement ring from his shorts before swimming out of view.

According to workers at the resort, they responded to a problem in the water but when they got to him, nothing could be done to save him. Mr Weber’s girlfriend writing on her Facebook said her boyfriend never got to hear her response.
