The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has increased the price of fuel by almost $2. In a statement, ZERA announced that with effect from Monday, 28 October 2019, the price of diesel is now $17.47 while petrol now costs $16.75 per litre.
ZERA said that operators may, however, sell at prices below the cap depending on their trading advantages.
To avoid falling prey to fake news, ZERA advised all stakeholders that the petroleum price releases can be verified on the official ZERA website, Facebook or Twitter handle.
