Air Zimbabwe has announced that they, with immediate effect, are charging foreign nationals in foreign currency. We present the statement in full below.
FOREIGN CURRENCY PAYMENT BY FOREIGNERS
Please be advised that Air Zimbabwe can only sell tickets to Zimbabwean residents in local currency, however willing residents can pay for their tickets in foreign currency. Therefore with immediate effect. the following are required to pay for their air tickets in foreign currency including domestic travel:
i. Holders of foreign passports or foreign National IDs:
ii. Embassies:
iii. International Organisations:
iv. Non-Governmental Organisations and:
v. Residents whose flights are originating from outside Zimbabwe.
Also note that for chartered international flights by residents, payment to be effected in foreign currency.
