GoFundMe Campaign Launched To Raise Funds For Mobile Clinics

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to raise funds for running mobile clinics in Zimbabwe.

This comes after the government of Zimbabwe fired 77 doctors for failing to come to work, with operations at public health institutions grinding to a halt.

The target is to raise US$10 00 for mobile clinics that will cater for the less privileged suburbs of Bulawayo and Harare.

The organising fundraiser, Freeman Chari had this to say:

The plan is to work with volunteer doctors/nurses/pharmacists who will make routine visits to different areas to provide primary care to the vulnerable like children and the elderly especially those with chronic illnesses like diabetes.

Where possible the doctors and nurses can make home visits especially for the elderly.

We will also liaise with pharmacies so we can provide coupons to patients who cannot afford medication so they can get their prescriptions filled…
