A picture of an “Ecocash Agent” trading at “an undesignated site” is making rounds on social media. The picture portrays a man sitting behind a wooden table. On top of the table, the man is displaying cash, notes and coins, something Ecocash would deem unsafe.
Usually, Ecocash Agents are found in booths or shops which are recommended for safety reasons.
The picture comes when there are reports suggesting that some Ecocash agent lines are being used for money laundering.
It also comes when the Zimbabwe Republic Police has warned members of the public against carrying huge amounts of money as robbers are on the loose.
