Bulawayo Chiefs Pile Misery On Joey Antipas

Bulawayo Chiefs dented cross-town rivals Chicken Inn’s title hopes following their 3-1 win in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played at Luveve Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Gamecocks coach Joey Antipas bemoaned his side’s poor defending but expressed hope that the title is still winnable. He said:

There is a God above and we will live with hope.

Bulawayo Chiefs were more than hungry than us. Our defending was very poor. We were found wanting especially in our central defence.

Amakhosi Amahle eased their relegation fears after Arthur Musiyiwa and two-goal hero Kundishora Chakanyuka delivered the three points to take them to 11th place on the log table with 38 points.

Meanwhile, Chicken Inn got their face saver through Obriel Chirinda in the 68th minute and now trail log leaders Caps United by 2 points.

Makepekepe is on 55 points and plays Dynamos this afternoon at the National Sports Stadium.
