Over 7000 Delegates Expected At ZANU PF Conference Premised At Discussing "Bread And Butter Issues"

Over 7 000 delegates are expected to attend the grace the Zanu-PF 18th Annual People’s Conference slated for the 10th-15th of December at Goromonzi High School, Mashonaland East which is held under the theme “Modernise, Mechanise and Grow the Economy towards Vision 2030.

Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri who is the party’s national chairperson said that she expected that President Emmerson Mnangagwa will speak about engagement and re-engagement efforts, and unity among Zimbabweans so as to channel efforts “towards developing this country.”

She spoke to the Herald after assessing progress at the conference venue and said that preparations for the event are almost complete. She added:

The conference is an opportunity to discuss the programmes which Government has been undertaking as a follow up to our manifesto.

The conference is also a platform where the President outlines our success stories. He will tell our story as Zanu-PF and the progress we have made since we were voted into power last year.

The conference is held amidst acute socioeconomic and political crises in the country manifest in a huge deficit in fuel, electricity, medicines, cash, foreign currency and food.

The country also has an inflationary economy, collapsed health sector as well as the deteriorating democratic space.
