Highlanders Appoint Mark Harrison As New Technical Manager {Full Text}

Highlanders Football Club has appointed Mark Harrison as the new technical manager on a two-year deal that runs up to the 31st of December 2021.

Harrison’s appointment was confirmed Highlanders executive chairman Kenneth Mhlophe in a press statement on Wednesday. Said Mhlophe:

I am glad to announce that the club has agreed on terms with Mark Harrison to fill the position that has been existing in our technical team. Harrison, who is not new to Zimbabwean football is the Highlanders technical manager with immediate effect pending granting of a work permit by the authorities. He will be officially unveiled as soon as he arrives in the country to take up his duties.

Considering our philosophy as a club, and his style of football, he emerged as the best institutional fit candidate to take up the huge responsibility. He signed a two-year contract which will run-up to the 31st of December 2021.

He will work with the existing club technical structures and general staff, which includes juniors, developmental team, and the first team coaches,

Harrison holds a UEFA A and CAF A licenses badge and previously coached Oxford United, Stafford Rangers and Everton in the United Kingdom as well as Mpumalanga Black Aces and African Warriors before his spell with Chippa United in South Africa and later with CAPS United and Harare City in Zimbabwe.

We would like to welcome Mark and wish him all the best here at Highlanders. I would also like to thank in advance our sponsors NetOne, partners Nyaradzo, members, fans and all other stakeholders for the support that you will give Harrison as he begins a new journey with the club.
