Physically-incapacitated Zimdancehall artiste, Bounty Lisa, on Wednesday failed to turn up for a doctor’s appointment after a well-wisher had offered to pay part of her medical bills.
Barbara “Mama Red Rose” Chikosi, a music promoter and businesswoman told H-Metro that she waited for Bounty Lisa at a local doctor’s surgery but the chanter did not come. Said Chikosi:
I was here as early as 9 am so that I would take her to the doctor.
She had initially told me that she was going to meet some officials at her home in Kuwadzana but the appointment was still on.
She had promised to come but she never fulfilled the promise.
Lisa developed a growth on her right thigh which has rendered her incapacitated for the past two years.
The Ministry of Arts, through its Deputy Minister Tino Machakaire, on Wednesday pledged to assist Lisa with her medical bills, while giving her $5 000 for her welfare.
