The trial of former Minister of Environment, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Prisca Mupfumira and former Secretary for Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Ngoni Masoka has been set for February 5 and 6 by Magistrate Munamato Mutevedzi.
Mupfumira and Masoka’s lawyers said they were only given some of the documents today which they requested last year for them to prepare for the trial.
The documents include the National Social Security Authority (NSSA) audit financial statements, cabinet handbook and a document which gives the rules cabinet ministers should follow.
Mupfumira’s lawyer, advocate Thembinkosi Magwaliba, however, told the court that they were not given all the documents they had asked for and demanded the missing documents.
Mupfumira and Masoka are facing two counts of criminal abuse of office and another count of concealing a transaction from a principal.
