Billiat Back In Full Training At Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has said Khama Billiat was not allowed to train with the squad until the club’s medical staff certified him 100 per cent fit.

Middendorp told reporters that Billiat was handed to the club’s medical staff on December 22 and they have been working with him since that day until his return to the full squad recently. Middendorp added:

But from December 22 until the end of January he was not working with the team at all.

And now he’s in. It’s important after a long time for him to get related to competitive soccer.

He needs competition time to get into it. Let’s see what we are doing.

Billiat last played for Chiefs in the 1-1 draw away to Maritzburg United on December 22, a game in which he was replaced in the 80th minute.

He will be in Chiefs’ match-day squad for their Nedbank Cup last-32 matchup against KwaZulu-Natal GladAfrica Championship outfit Royal Eagles at FNB Stadium on Saturday (kickoff 6 pm).
