Kuda Mahachi Gets South Africa Permanent Residency

Zimbabwean international footballer who plays for SuperSport United in South Africa has acquired a permanent residence permit in South Africa and now be registered by SuperSport United as a local player.

South Africa laws stipulate that one has to have stayed in that country for five consecutive years to be eligible for the permanent residency permit.

This is a positive development for SuperSport United coach, Kaitano Tembo who was under pressure to lower the number of foreign players in the team as per the ABSA regulations.

Mahachi now joins a number of compatriots who also have permanent residency permits. These include veteran goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini, former Warriors skipper Willard Katsande, attacking midfielder Khama Billiat, Washington Arubi and Mahachi’s teammate at SuperSport, Onismor Bhasera.

Mahachi has been in South Africa since 2014 when he joined Mamelodi Sundowns from Highlanders.
