The Victoria Falls Mayor is facing a $330 000 lawsuit after a man identified as Shaktya Nyathi filled an adultery case against him at the Bulawayo High court accusing him of having an affair with his wife, The Standard reports.
According to the publication, Nyathi is making the following demands:
He is seeking $150 000 damages “for contumelia and $180 000 for loss of the comfort, society and services” as his wife had since eloped.
The Victoria Falls mayor was a few weeks ago arrested on corruption charges and is yet to appear in court for trial for that case.
