2018 Presidential Candidate Suffers Mental Breakdown

A losing presidential candidate in the 2018 harmonised elections has experienced a mental breakdown and is admitted at a local hospital.

New Patriotic Front (NPF) leader, Engineer Tendai Peter Munyanduri, is admitted at Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital’s psychiatric ward after he reportedly suffered a mental breakdown while at work early last week.

Munyanduri is employed by the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) at its Chinhoyi Megawatt offices.

Reports claim that the former presidential candidate, who promised the electorate milk, eggs, bacon and honey, during his campaign, indecently exposed himself to female members of staff during an internal wellness programme, and later at the hospital.

Munyanduri admitted that he was unwell but rejected the “indecent exposure” rumours. He said:

Yes, I am not feeling well, but the claim that I indecently exposed myself is a lie.

All these rumours are aimed at tainting my political imagine as I am a force to reckon with.

Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital superintendent, Collet Mawire, refused to give any details about Eng Munyanduri’s condition, citing hospital-patient confidentiality.
