Zimbabwe’s Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa has urged members of the public to rely on official reports for the updates on the coronavirus pandemic.
She said the remarks during a post-Cabinet media briefing in Harare this Tuesday.
Her remarks come amidst reports by some media houses and social media users that there is an individual who tested positive for the virus who is now in isolation in Zimbabwe.
The Permanent Secretary in the Information Ministry, Nick Mangwana has dismissed the report as untrue adding that the publication that reported on the matter was misled by speculations by the citizenry.
