The regime’s lack of preparedness on #Covid_19 is criminally irresponsible. Despite its bravado, there are only 16 ventilators in the country with the country’s main hospital only having 4 in its ICU. There are no ventilators at #Wilkins with its mere 50 beds. No-one is panicking.
The #Covid_19 patient at #Wilkins is in a severe state so Zim starts on a terrible footing. The Minister of Health (DJ Biscuit ) has failed to declare #Covid_19 a notifiable disease in terms of s17 of the Public Health Act Cap 15:09.
The Minister of Health has also failed to enact key regulations regarding formidable epidemic diseases as is required by s42 of the Public Health Act. Without these regulations, Emmerson’s announcement on #Covid_19 controls are a nullity. Emmerson’s word is not law as he seems to think.
