Wilkins Upgrade Now At An Advanced Stage, Hospital To Reopen Tomorrow - Report

The upgrading of Wilkins Hospital is progressing well and it could be complete in 5  days time, The Herald reports. This was revealed by Wilkins Infectious Disease Hospitals administrator Mr Andrew Tapera who spoke to the publication and said:

We had given the Chinese contractors five days to finish and true to that they completed their task on Sunday.

Today (yesterday) we were just doing the final touches, which we anticipate to have completed by end of day tomorrow before we reopen the facility on Wednesday.

Wilkins was Harare’s COVID-19 isolation centre. However, reports claim that Sakunda is trying to revamp St Annes Hospital and Arundel Medical Center so that they can also be used as COVID-19 centres.
