Simbarashe Zuze, the man behind the arrest of Advocate Thabani Mpofu and another lawyer, Tapiwa Makanza has finally spoken out.
Makanza has been arrested for defeating the course of justice after he allegedly faked an affidavit in an application which sought to challenge President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s appointment of Prosecutor-General Kumbirai Hodzi.
Advocate Mpofu was arrested on Monday last week and was later granted $20 000 bail, while Makanza was arrested this Sunday.
The state alleges that Mpofu claimed the existence of a non-existent Simbarashe Zuze while filling an affidavit form in January 2019.
Zuze, who the state alleges does not exist has this Sunday recorded a video of himself, setting the record straight.
