Drax Consult SAGL Zimbabwe representative Delish Nguwaya has just been remanded in custody to Monday for a bail hearing.
Nguwaya is charged with fraud after his company procured, at exorbitant prices, personal protective equipment for the Ministry of Health and Child Care.
Unusually, Prisons van reversed inside the courtyard, apparently to prevent gathered photographers from taking his picture.
Commenting on the development, some social media users said that it was likely that he will be released like other prominent people who were arrested before.
Drax International is strongly linked with Collins Mnangagwa the son of President Mnangagwa. Collins has however denied any association with the company.
